Main Call for papers Programme Abstracts

The Second International Workshop of the Systemic Functional Research Community on Interpersonal and Ideational Grammar was devoted to ideational grammar, more specifically issues such as case roles, the semantic of constructions, and interaction with lexical semantics.

The workshop, convened by Kristin Davidse, was held from 21 to 24 November 2001 at the University of Leuven. Its venue was the Louvain Institute for Ireland in Europe, an historic Franciscan college in the town centre.

Participants from international research centres included Thomas Lund Andersen (University of Southern Denmark at Odense), Jorge Arús (Universidad Complutense de Madrid), James Benson (York University-Glendon College), Michael Cummings (York University-Glendon College), Eirian Davies (University of London), Gillian Francis (University of Birmingham), Julia Lavid (Universidad Complutense de Madrid), Uwe Helm Petersen (University of Southern Denmark at Odense), David Rose (University of Sydney), Robert Spence (Universität des Saarlandes), Erich Steiner (Universität des Saarlandes), Paul J. Thibault (University of Venice), Geoff Thompson (University of Liverpool), and Gordon Tucker (Cardiff University).
