Abundantia Verborum

2. Getting started

2.3 Documentation and help

The following are the three most important resources for information about Abundantia Verborum.

This text

The best introduction to the program is this text, particularly the next chapter: 3. Tutorial. Another part of this text that may be very interesting in the earlier stages of getting to know the program is the appendix glossary of computer terminology. This text as a whole is available both as a book and as a set of HTML-documents, consultable with any Web-browser.

Online help

The most exhaustive documentation on Abundantia Verborum, covering both introductory texts and a complete reference guide, is Abundantia Verborum Help, the online help of the program itself. The menu command "F1=Help | Contents..." in Abundantia Verborum brings you to the table of contents of this thematically organized online help document. The menu command "F1=Help | Search For Help On..." offers you access to the same document through an index. Moreover all but the most trivial dialog boxes in Abundantia Verborum contain a "Help" push button that immediately brings you to a context-related page in the online help document.

The author

The most interactive help facility is of course the author of the program. You can contact him for all questions, remarks and discussions concerning the program at the e-mail address Dirk.Speelman@arts.kuleuven.ac.be. Students at the University of Leuven have to acquire an e-mail account before they can use e-mail. This can be done online. See: getting a student e-mail account at the University of Leuven.
