After obtaining an MA in Language and Literature (Germanic Languages)
in 1996, An Laffut worked as a researcher on the project The
impact of syntactic variation: Prepositional phrases vs bare nominals
(OT/95/5). In 2000 she completed a PhD in English Linguistics with a cognitive-functional
description of the locative, image impression and material/product constructions.
Her main research interests lie in three-participant constructions and
caused relations, and she is the linguistics editor of BELL.
An Laffut is currently ESP lecturer at the interfaculty Institute
of Modern Languages.
